Slacker #3 reporting in...

Right. No updates. It's because it's my birthday and I'm still on holiday in England. So peaceful, so relaxing, so slow-paced. This ----------------> is my early-morning view most days. Yes, a bit blurry and washed because of the sunrise, but I don't think I'll ever stop appreciating how green and beautiful the whole place is here. Now if only we could have a government that wasn't full of stupid and neo conservatives desperate to protect our children from boobies at every turn. Ahem, sorry about that.

SO! This isn't an Armies of Greyhawk update (because being numpty stupid-head that I am I forgot my notebook with everything). Instead, I'm posting up a couple images from my trusty digicam of some trees 'wot I done finished' before I left.  Click to embiggen and stuff.

When I get back home (Well, the Americas, anyway) however, I will be, after doing the dishes, engaging with some Ogre painting madness.  Well, actually not any Ogres...But at least one Fencer and various tanky types.  Woo fun times!  Will I get them finished before the game in May? Probably not, which is likely to cause much mockery by the people who will then shoot all my unfinished lead, but it'll be fun to try! Pics and more Armies of Greyhawk updates to come. Promise!

Off to England!

Heading home to England later today, thus no updates because of packing, weighing, repacking, reweighing and finally packing a third time.

I'll do my utmost to post Armies of Greyhawk updates here while I'm there, but I make no promises. I don't get to visit 'home' all that often, so I'm sure I'll be doing an awful lot of annoying old friends for the next few weeks. If I'm not too wrapped up in the moment, I'll even try to take pictures of things.

Have a good time, blog peoples. Happy dice-rolling!

And that's it...

England retain the Ashes for the first time in 20-some-odd years, sealing it with a thorough battering of the Aussies, in Oz no less! Bravo boys, fantastic show for a 3-1 win! You're all heroes!

BALLS!

No, really. Balls.

Okay, admittedly they weren't strictly mentioned as being "on my painting table" or anything, but  I'm entitled to change my mind whenever I damn well please.  Besides, what game of Blood Bowl is complete without a huge, spiky ball, or even a vast, bouncy pair?

I did actually get around to also painting some other miniatures, too. This time, they were actually on the list! Behold the last two Chaos Warriors for my (fourth) team. Just for a change, I'm even thinking of fully painting these ones, too. Those that know me from the Old Country actually died of shock just there, so that cut my readership down from three to one. Damnit.

Oh, yeah, and I better add a picture of the Chaos Warriors (badly taken, but sod it, y'know?). They're not exactly the best of jobs, just a simple, clean once-over, but they had to match the previous two which were done... Uh... Eight, no, ten years ago. I like to think my techniques (if not my actual lack of raw talent) has improved since then.

As a final aside, I want to plug Vallejo paints. Cheaper than GW paints (huzzah! Not that it's actually hard to be cheaper than theirs) but really an excellent formula.  Easy to mix, easy to smooth down, I really was comfortable working with them and a palette. Right, that's enough free advertising space. Here's a closeup of my shiny red ball to finish.
