Sometimes, I swear...

...things pile up against me.

I know it sounds silly but right now it feels like a perfectly understandable paranoia!

A few days ago, Mediafire was having issues with cooperating with Firefox (pretty much any version from 3.x and up). This coincided with my having finished off a couple (well, four) overdue Armies of Greyhawk lists. All typed and ready to go they were (are!), but no uploading meant I decided to just leave off posting until the next day. That night, the PSU for my computer imploded.

So now I'm currently awaiting receipt of the next one to be installed into the beast and typing this up on a spare with so little grunt that I doubt it would actually be able to power the painting lamp that is sitting next to me. I -could- tear out the HDD from that one and attach it up to this one if I really felt so inclined, but instead I'm taking the time to clean up and prime more of the 'Mechs I got from my Battletech starter boxes. And paint a pink Fencer (yes, I said pink). And base some more trees.  Oh, and finish proof-reading v1.0 of the Adventures Dark and Deep Game Master's Toolkit.

Sure, I appreciate the time to paint, but I think I'll feel a little more relaxed when I get those new AoG lists posted like I said I would... At this rate I'll actually -finish- painting the Fencer AND have taken pictures -before- I get the parts for the new computer. Astonishing!

Slacker #3 reporting in...

Right. No updates. It's because it's my birthday and I'm still on holiday in England. So peaceful, so relaxing, so slow-paced. This ----------------> is my early-morning view most days. Yes, a bit blurry and washed because of the sunrise, but I don't think I'll ever stop appreciating how green and beautiful the whole place is here. Now if only we could have a government that wasn't full of stupid and neo conservatives desperate to protect our children from boobies at every turn. Ahem, sorry about that.

SO! This isn't an Armies of Greyhawk update (because being numpty stupid-head that I am I forgot my notebook with everything). Instead, I'm posting up a couple images from my trusty digicam of some trees 'wot I done finished' before I left.  Click to embiggen and stuff.

When I get back home (Well, the Americas, anyway) however, I will be, after doing the dishes, engaging with some Ogre painting madness.  Well, actually not any Ogres...But at least one Fencer and various tanky types.  Woo fun times!  Will I get them finished before the game in May? Probably not, which is likely to cause much mockery by the people who will then shoot all my unfinished lead, but it'll be fun to try! Pics and more Armies of Greyhawk updates to come. Promise!

New stuff, coming soon.

No, really.

The charger for my digital camera, however, has died. So, while managing to scrape the pictures of the last few finished minis with the last of the battery power was fine, the uploading isn't possible until I can either (miraculously) find the spare charger or get a new one.

As we say in our D&D group - DAMN.

Anyway, coming up are a few 15mm painted figures, with maybe some heroic 28mm/30mm stuff that deserves it's picture being taken. Stay tuned!

Ugh.

Right, I'm not actually avoiding this blog, honest.  I've come down with another of my intermittent (simple) episcleritis attacks. I'm hugely sensitive to light at the moment, have a devil of a headache, using a computer hurts like ten tapdancing bison going at it in my head, even being near my painting lamp is excruciating. I've not picked up a paint brush in a week, hence nothing to post here.

Hopefully, all will be resolved in a week or so, we'll see. I want to finish off the (not so secret) Ranger Joe figure, as well as at least one base of Dwarves (as well as starting the other fifteen I cleaned up). Although... Hmm. It might be amusing to be going to D&D like a very hung over rock star.
